    Hi,

I saw many of you here asking about Android for AOA150, so just wanna let you know that AOA150 with Atheros Wifi can use Android 1.6 image from androidx86.org below:

    http://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B8zPr27 ... Y5ZTIxMjIy

Wifi & camera all work well out of the box.

The only problem is the installer doesn't recognize other OS installed, so there's no way to boot anywhere except Android itself. If you have Linux installed on drive you can easily add Android option to Linux's grub. But I have no idea how to add it on Windows Boot Manager.

But I need to give some important notes here:
    1. it's faster to boot android from its own grub, very very faaaaast. That's the main benefit of Android OS, I think.
    2. it's more stable to load android from its own grub if concering about android's screen timeout issue. Strange isn't it? Have no idea why :/ So, it'd better if we set it to 'never'

I also have tried with Android v2.2 from the same web, it recognize Windows installed, but the Wifi doesn't work :(

As usual we can recover Linux's grub using Linux LiveCD or fdisk /mbr to recover Windows'.

    Enjoy.

    PS: thanks Androidx86.org!

I've got 1.6 installed, as the only OS, on my AOA150. So far everything seems to be working right. Wondering though if I can upgrade to 2.2.1, somehow, and still have everything working.

I tried 2.2 the other day with no luck at getting wifi working. It would turn on, but as soon as it tried logging in to my wifi it turned off. Not a good thing.

Sure hope 2.3 or 3.0 works with this netbook

    Hi ah66,

surely i will try it, thanks! And I will let you know the result :)

About the sd cards sometimes also gets problem on my side, but it works perfect when i use flashdisk. Android will recognize it as SD card too. Sorry if you know this already, just try to make it fast, in case you don't.

    Rgds.
