aspireone black screen blinking light

    i agreed to look at an aspire one zg5 aoa 150 for a coworker. it wouldn't power on so i plunged it in and let it charge after a few minutes the battery light started blinking, i saw that its common for this to bios related so i tried turning it on with just the ac cord and flashing the bios but when i do that it does the black screen(also can be bios related). so i researched the usb trick to flash the bios and a few people say it wont work with a dead battery.

    my question is have any of you had experience with this and is there any way to fix it with a dead battery.
