Correct me if I am wrong here but the kext name is GeneericCPUPowerManagement.kext with no Intel in it right? Also see that the kext has been updated to version 1.1. I finally got it to load I think. Seems not to work with the ap as Superhai said so not sure but I do have a problem when it loads with shutting down and restarting. This used to work fine but now I get a black screen and fans continue to run and just stays there. Have to force it to quit. You seeing this as well?

I had copied the instructions from insanelymac - looks like the mistake was made there.

Post now updated to correct kext name 'GenericCPUPowerManagement.kext'

Has issues with new version - using the old version without issue:

Well rolled back from the 1.1 to 1.0 kext and followed all instructions very carefully but sill the same result when I run the app. It says waiting for the kext to load after briefly flashing colors and values when it first starts. I know I am installing the kext properly and the 1.1 version installed the same way obviously is loading since it produces shutdown problems. Is there any way for me to determine if the CPU Power Management is working outside of running the associated application? Otherwise guess I will give up on this one.

If you do run the voodoo kernel under a boot 132 can you still update without too many problems, or do you have to roll back to vanilla before each point update?

I've been able to complete updates with no issues

However I've not tested this with 10.5.5 combo update - I completed this before switching to the voodoo kernel

You can always manually override on boot by using this command at 'mach_kernel cpus=1'

All works great. But still my AAO hangs on power off. Not always but usually. With iAtkos I haven't got this problem. Maybe ypu have any idea?

AAO 150, 1,5 GB RAM, Broadcom wifi, Leo 10.5.5 + all possible UpDates. Currently: voodoo_beta2

This tread is for users installing from Retail disc via the boot 132 method..

Everything except sleep works using this method (with replacement wireless card that is)

This link is about audio fix (sensing etc). In my case during shutdown receive "gray screen" (not kernel panic, or black/nothing screen) with info "push PWR button etc) I install OpenHalt kext but nothing changed.

Not exactlly or I don't know something (what's would be good :)
SD Card Reader works partially; Mic Level slider is missing; Line IN??? (I don't check line in; I use GuitarPort)
Some Apps need 768 not 600 px vertical -- aRt works on some widget but I couldn't find any info about progress.

The fix also addresses the shutdown issue - I followed these steps and the shutdown issue was resolved.

For me needs I everything works, have never used the line input on my iMac ever... A mate of mine has a usb soundcard that he uses on ibook for line input.. I think that would be your best bet. The card reader works even though at this stage only at a slow speed - this will improve.

It's possible to load all updates directly from Apple with Voodoo kernel? As with mach/vanilla/ kernel?
