Try to use VLC to play your mp3 files instead of Audacious Player.

I had problems getting Audacious to work as well, but xmms seems to work fine.

    Code:
    sudo yum install xmms xmms-mp3
I wondered if xmms-mp3 might help Audacious to work, but it doesn't seem to be the case.

    Did you install "audacious-plugins-nonfree-mp3"?

Add the livna repository to get that package from Package Manager: http://rpm.livna.org (Fedora 8 repositry RPM).

I had similar problems with Audacious.
I can confirm that this player works just find on the One. The problem was (as stated above) the mp3 and for me the wma packages.
If you start up the package manager and search for Audacious there are lots of packages...
look for the ones with mp3 (and wma aac and anything else you might like to play). tick these packages and apply the changes.
once done, Audacious should be able to play just fine.
AND it looks really great on the One. stay on top minimal mode is pretty sweet. :D

Anybody got Shoutcast.com properly working? It tries to open XMMS instead. I hoped to change this in FireFox under Settings>Applications but it does not allow me to add or (change) actions for PLS files.
BTW When I open the link from within Audacious it works OK.

Hi, i dont speak english but i have Audacious playing mp3 and wma files, i do this: (i am a beginer in linux)

I asume that you have Audacious already installed (but only play OGG files) and the advanced menu activated.

    1- ALT+F2 -> TERMINAL -> SU ..Password -> paste this: rpm -ivh http://rpm.livna.org/livna-release-8.rpm -> press enter
2- Exit of the terminal (excuse my bad english)
3- Now on the advanced menu find: Add/Remove software, enter your password.. bla bla
4- In search type "audacious" and now select the following packages:
    - audacious-plugins-nonfree-wma - 1.3.5-1.lvn8.i386
    - audacious-plugins-nonfree-mp3 - 1.4.4-1.lvn8.i386
NOTE: See the number of the packge
    5- Enjoy your music!!!!!

Saludos from Panamá! (central america) :D

I've followed the instructions up to this point, but the packages don't show up in the install manager.

livna is listed properly in the Packages manager, but it just doesn't show.

    Any ideas?
