I'm running XP on a 1Gig RAM, 160Gig HD AAO which I purchased about 6 months ago. At first when I pressed the Fn Key + Up/Down I used to get a a visual scale on screen which, although basic, helped in setting volume by showing it's level with lines like this: ||||| accross the bottom of the screen (more lines for more volume). Somewhere along the line, through an upgrade or something, the visual scale just disappeared, although the keys still raise and lower the volume. Does anyone know how to get this feature back?

Any help would be most appreciated.

The OSD (On Screen Display) for the hotkeys including the volume hotkey, is run from the program called Launchmanager. You should find it in the programs menu somewhere, and you might have just disabled it. If you for one reason or another have removed that program, your OSD will be gone.

You can download it from Acer's support site in that case.
