The July 17th automatic update whacked my A1, I saw the shield in the tray clicked and let it load. When the load was done it asked for a reboot, well it when it started to reboot I got a message saying one of my disks needed to be checked for integrity. Ok I let it go into the checking thing, got a quick flash on the screen that it was starting then it rebooted, it just kept going through the same cycle. After about 1 dozen tries I gave up and pulled the battery as it would not let me shut it off. It is being reloaded as I type and one thing for sure it will not have automatic updates turned on, I would rather take my chances like quite a few others!
