Has anyone had problems installing the anti-virus program AVG? I keep getting a message saying “file is corrupt” after I extract. Just wondering if this is because of windows 7 beta or is it just me? Also what’s another good free virus program? Thanks

Just download again if file is corrupt. Clear the browser cache 1st, if your still having problems. You can also try AVIRA(free-av.com) or AVAST (avast.com) . Those 2 and AVG are the most popular among the FREE antivirus programs.

I would go with Avast personally as AVG of late has become a resource hog. The same reason I stopped using Zone Alarm, great product, but far too hungry for what is essentially an invisible background process.

I like Avast the best. Runs nicely, doesn't intrude and updates frequently too. There's even a vocal reminder that it's updated the virus database, usually once per day. I administer dozens of machines at work running Norton Enterprise... Hate it! way too many resources used. Seriously consider Avast at:
