banshee dependency conflict error.. . ARGH!!

    hello people,
    bought my acer one because ive been very intrested in learning to use linux for a while but just not had the time,
    im a computer/laptop technician so have a very good understanding of how the system works, just not how to manipulate it

    so here is my error,
    file /usr/share/desktop-directories/Internet.directory from install of gnome-menus-2.20.1-1.fc8 conflicts with file from package xfdesktop-acer-lp-1608.mcs_patched

    accepting that i can force the installation, if i do,,will i break anything by doing so?? help :(
