ive bought the extended battery and up till now everything has been ok with it

today i noticed that the battery was loose and thought that the right (under the power button) non spring loaded clip was undone,

i checked and it was in the locked position so after shutting down i removed the battery and re-seated it in the hope of it staying in....

it turns out that the minute plastic tab on the clip has sheared off on the notebook side and the hook in the middle of the battery has broken on the battery side,
my original battery stayes in fine (as it still has the centre clip) and there is less force on it anyway as its lighter and in profile, but if i want to use my large battery i have to be very carefull otherwise it falls out causing a rather abrupt system shutdown

Every cell phone I have ever owned eventually gets a couple of strips of scotch tape to hold the battery in as I drop them so much. A little scotch tape would solve your problem.
