So its been a few months since ive booted up my AA1, and i was getting ready to install ubuntu on it.. but now ive realized that my battery either isnt charging or that its not switching over to it when unplugged.. the icon says fully charged, but as soon as i remove AC its shuts down.. Any ideas?

batteries do have a tendency to go bad. This happens more frequently than we like.

for an example my Dell laptop battery lasted me a whole 3 months before it died. I had to run it plugged in. I would suggest swapping the battery and testing. If it still does it than there might be something else causing this.

but first step troubleshooting is see if you borrow a battery that fits from a friend or take it to the store and test it..

    Update

( I will try to do this in my best english)

I take out the battery and then look something really suspcious, there was a little part of dark plastic where the plug in electrical terminals of my AAO are. Then i saw that one of the golden metallic plugs of the AAO was twisted and in my batterie i saw that one of the plastic part that matches the golden metallic plugs was broken, if you see this parts they're really small.. how on earth they broke? i dunno... But check yours.

my system info; as far as i know i have one of the original batch of AA1 in the linux variety.. standard battery
i just checked under settings>system info and it shows my battery as 0mAh.. that seems troubling..

mdgo80.. is yours the same? maybe there is a trend..
