I have the Acer ASpire One A)d250 with a 2200 mah battery. Enough for over 2 hours. Too short for longer trips. And in one or two years it will undoubtely be less than 2 hours.

So I got myself a 6600 mah battery. From amazon.co.uk, ultimate addons, for 48.99 pounds.

I also have a 6600 mAh battery, only I decided on a secondary external type, so I can power several different machines, I have a 6 cell as standard on the 250, combined the runtime is phenomenal.

The Promate battery is easy to travel with and fits in most bags with out any real additional bulk. What like about the external battery solution, is that the once I am at my destination I can just use the Netbook on the original battery keeping the standard small footprint & weight. Works out better for me, as My wife has the 250 and I have a LG X120, and the Promate battery will also charge any other USB device which is really useful.
