Battery going flat overnight

    Hi,

    I have just got an aspire one 150, i have installed win xp on it and that is working correctly.
    My problem is that last nigt i left it on charge(shut down), then came to use it this morning and the battery was flat (even though i left it plugged in last night)

    It seems to be going through its charging cycle, shuts off and then lets it go flat?

    It is shut down not on standby

    Am i missing something
