Hi all wonderkids, what do you think here - my battery at max off the adapter only goes to 89% charge and this only last 30 mins! Could it be the new bios I need or does it definately seem like maybe it has been over charged? The computer is normally used via the adapter.

    Hi

Try using the netbook on battery alone, wait for it to switch off/low battery, then recharge. If a few cycles like this doesn't work then it would seem your battery is set to meet its maker.

As an aside, I purchased a 6 cell battery off of ebay for £24 if this is the case.

    Good luck

    Hi there,

Yeah, sounds like your battery has lost it "memory".
If you use your computer off AC power a lot, it is recommended to remove the battery so as not to keep it constantly charging from a high charge point.

Try the totally dis-charging then fully recharging method, it may work.

But my gut says a new battery is required!
