battery life halved on windows 7

    Ok well i have the 8GB SSD version.
    Turn down your screen brightness a bit might help.

    Fan on at 67
    Fan off at 65

    wow isnt 67 too hot . i think i prefer kp my cpu cooler to prolong its life . wouldnt running it at 67 ratther then 60 wear it faster ?

    My battery life dropped from 2 hours with Linpus to 1.5 with Windows 7. So a 25% 'loss'. No real problem though as I'd been planning on getting a 6-cell anyway.

    Turning the fan off sounds dangerous to me. Not worth risking damaging your netbook for the sake of a few mins of battery life IMO. You need to keep those hard-working components cool!

    Personally I would not worry if my Atom is running at 67.
    I think it would be safe running under 70.

    But ok you guys are right, I will re-think about turning down my fan control.
