Battery life?

I have the AA1 150 with 120 gig drive and windows xp. I have running the AA1
FanControl and eBoostR software and still can't get more than about 2 -2:10 hrs battery life surfing the net using wifi. Is this about right?

Any ideas on getting more out of it?

 

I get the same, don't worry. That's what the 3cell battery can offer

 

got a 6-cell 160gb model

avg 4hrs w/ the sprint card perm connected

when i'm at home it switches to the wlan connection...still pretty good time

 

mine lasts about 5hrs and I have wifi on, and it is t 120GB model without 3g.
its pretty long time for a lappy.

 

with the 160gb/6-cell model i get a little over 5 hours on XP, that's with wifi on fulltime and the wifi powersaving disabled.

 

If I disable wifi, lowest screen dimming, it lasts up to 5 hours and 36 minutes on vista.

 

So with the 3 cell battery I can get about 5 hrs if wifi is off and screen is dimed. That should pretty well get me thru a conference taking notes in ms word I would hope.

 

3 cell - 5 hours? I doubt that... 6 cell maybe... but the 3 cell will not pass over the 2.5 hours limit IMHO

 

I'm only lasting 2 hours tops with a 6 cell while browsing etc with XP. so far I am NOT impressed with the battery life.

 

XP gives me the longest battery life: 2:58 hours with light (but constant) web browsing over wifi. Details here. (2200mAh, 3 cell)
