Futuremark has released a new Benchmark for Browsers / websurfing. This should be the main purpos for netbooks, or? Since the Z-Atom CPU in our Acer is not the faststest, you will want a browser that makes the most of our slow hardware.

I´m running Windows 7 RC 1007, SetFSB @145mhz, VGA Drivers from Intel (...1005)

Mabye you like to share your results?

    Greetings,
    Felix

Assuming you did all these tests yourself. Thanks for the work.
I'm surprised it's SO MUCH FASTER with the latest Chrome. That's exciting to say the least.

It's just obvious, without even running a test, written by who exactly, that a small stripped down browser would be faster.

What confuses me with this is how Firefofx 3.5 is supposedly faster. Chrome 2.0 is definitely quicker than FF 3.5. IMO.

and the test WAS NOT on a 1.6 atom or even a netbook
it was tested with ALOT MORE than 2Ghz!

    Update
    I just tryed it LOL
its Biased the tests were not even the same for IE and Chrome!
the flash files were In a smaller window than ie and not even the same flash files
    What a JOKE.

and the test is NOT Just for your browser performance!
if it was it would NOT matter what video driver you have and or if it was in a window or not.
it would test the browsers ability to load and change pages
it would just load the flash file then the next file Not sit and play the file then load the next file.
that is just another partial "BenchMark" test to add to the rest of the Thousands you can find online.
its just that one is a verry biased assessment.

    I think i will stick with :
    SlimBrowser from flashpeak http://www.flashpeak.com/sbrowser/
You dont need to play the plugin game as you do with the Others.
its BETTER than FF MO or IE by far!
oh yes and Better than "pitted" chrome to.

Oh, seems this links was used by several people using different hardware. Best you start a new test for your machine and comparing your browsers. For me, Chrome was always the fastest, together with the "tabs-on-top" its my favorite browser.
