    Hey,

I have a A110L and currently I am using Easy Peasy. I enjoy it, but firefox stumbles very often. looking for alternatives really depresses me. there are thousands of remixes and very one of them seems to be perfect :)

by now i tried kuki, fluxflux, linux4one...they do all seem to be fine, but i cant test them for a long time. so before i get crazy i hope to get some help from you.

a perfect OS for my A110 would be one that boots fast, needs less current and supports the usual things (like sound, cam, card readers, standby, wlan) without knowing all the linux background.

    thanks... ;)

    Hey Skubk ,
I have linpus on my A110.
    Boots in 10 seconds,
can play music ,can see pictures , have a build-in webcam ,
can use standby ,use wireless internet ,can send e-mail , can chat ,
there's also a Offenoffice ( writer ,calc ,draw ,and so on ...) , can play some games,
I don't have to know anything about Linux , it works very simple ..
What more do you need on a computer ???

If your only problem with Easy Peasy is Firefox tending to hang, then why not give Opera a try ? I have just started running Opera 10 Turbo on my Ubuntu AAO and am so far very impressed. It's very quick compared to Firefox which spends so much time writing to disk even when tweaked. Opera 10 Turbo can be downloaded from the Opera Labs website (the file I used was: opera_10.00.4214.gcc4.qt4_i386.deb) and installation is simply a matter of clicking on the .deb file.

XP, but its not like I'm recommending it. You said the best OS for stupids and XP would fit the bill.

Sorry, I've got one of those Aspire Ones with XP on it.

Hm...I dont want to use XP because I want to learn using Linux. So something like Ubuntu or similar things will be best for me. The best thing would be an OS that runs well on the A110L. Then I can learn using Linux step by step...
