Open a terminal (alt+f2, 'terminal') and type this

    Code:
    sudo yum install xscreensaver-extras-gss xscreensaver-gl-extras-gss
EDIT: there was a small typo in the above which I've now corrected (the opengl screensavers weren't properly installed)

    Then type:
    Code:
    gnome-screensaver-preferences &
and select a decent screensaver, some of the OpenGL ones are stunning - but not recommended on battery power :)

(Note that you have to reboot the first time you change the screensaver to have the screensaver loaded, after that there is no need to reboot if you change the screensaver using gnome-screensaver-preferences)

I forgot the really slick screensavers:
    Code:
    sudo yum install rss-glx-gnome-screensaver rss-glx-xscreensaver
This will give you some neat extra screensavers: sundancer2, spirographx, solarwinds, skyrocket, plasma, lattice, hufo_tunnel, hufo_smoke, helios, flux, flocks, fieldlines, euphoria, cyclone, colorfire, busyspheres and biof

Once again, reboot the first time you change the screensaver after installing this (using gnome-screensaver-preferences)

(Note, that the gnome-screensaver-preferences interface is pretty simplistic, if you want more advanced control over the screensaver settings (including the ability to configure each individual screensaver) you need to use xscreensaver-demo instead)
