emmm isnt vietnam 1942's sucessor....better engine?

Built on a modified Battlefield 1942 engine, Battlefield Vietnam had many new and improved features from its predecessor.

not a given but it should be similar to 1942 hit up youtube and you can watch a guy play 1942

    http://www.engadget.com/2008/04/16/asus ... w-roundup/

so maybe the a in "900 a" stands for atom if not its what ever the EEE's other proc is and is the GPU the same if it is not it is a lesser model gpu

another thing you may want to consider this is vietnam based and with vietnam would come foilage(not a word...grass trees bushes)....lots of it and this could render alot of vietnam unplayable...just an assumption

my opinion is to go with 1942 if your paying for these (or get a demo...) BF is not really a campaign type game is it? so just grab 1942 and get a vietnam mod/maps

I already own it, just can't find the 3rd disc to install it on the One and not sure if it's worth the trouble to look for it. I thought I would see if anyone has tried it yet.

maybe the engine is improved performance wise ie it would work better with the hardware its a hit and miss

someone said lower graphics compared to 1942 i am not sure what graphics 1942 is played on in the case of that eee

but it seemed playable right? maybe they are not all low and maybe vietnam when you lower the graphics has even lower textures then 1942...just hitting random thoughts here

if you want to run the game then test a version or start googling on what it has been run on to give you an idea on what performance you could expect and if it is playable for you thats what i do..

anyways i hope my pm can help you to

this should be invaluable if you have performance troubles http://www.tweakguides.com/BFV_1.html

Great you still should look at those tweak pages to lose some uneeded things and gain longer view distance and better sound and so on...worth a try atleast
