    Hello,

my wife used to use his netbook d250 0br for little games and internet only.
Since last week, when booting , there are some big alarms and if I don't touch the keybord, this can keep going on for minutes , that's very noisy.
By pressing any key, this alarm stops, and XP is booting correctly.

    I removed the battery
Upgraded the fmw, and system updates
Scanned the system with avast and with secuser.com
Tried in restoring the system 3 weeks earlier (this issue happens since last week only)

    Problem is still there.

Another thing happened in parallel: the mouse point on an icon (near the Start menu), in my case, this is itunes. Well it's impossible for me to choose another desktop icon: it always come back the itunes icon (I only can choose another icon with the arrows keys and enter key).
I've tried with a new usb mouse, by disabling the touchpad: idem, problem still there.
Sometimes, I can select another icon with the mouse, but that only works for a couple of minutes...

I hope you understand my problem as Im french.

    thank you in advance.

My system: Acer D250-0Br with Windows XP.

It's sounds like a possible sticking key on the keyboard?

Try pressing one key at a time , all keys should bounce back when pressed.

A key press on booting, sounds like a loud high pitch beep, beep, beep on booting.

Please let the forum know when solved.

I typed each keys...I guess I won't have the choice to remove the keyboard off and clean it.
