ok so i'm trying to do the bios flash thing i see suggested everywhere (holding fn+Esc, usb stick, renaming the files, etc) and i follow all the instructions but still no luck. anyone got any ideas. all my honeymoon photos are on there and i'm getting kinda worried :(
is it possible to set this hard drive up on another computer as a slave. any help is greatly appreciated. i don't wanna send it to a pcworld or something similar like a data retrieval company as it has a lot of personal files on it

Bios recovery, Is the power button flashing? Did you follow the instructions exactly? Did you press the power button the second time? Tried a different USB stick? Tried a different USB port?

Recovering your photos depends on the compuer model you have. But if it is a SATA drive, then swapping it into an external drive enclosure should be the fix to get your photos.
