Bios Updating Error

bios update in windows xp did not work for me
(frozen during bios update)
now just a black screen with power light on
has anybody has updated with a usb boot

no luck tried all the different ways with a usb stick
went out and got a usb floppy adapter and that did not eather
the usb flashes and the floppy works but it never shuts down so i push the power and it turns off never restarts
I an thinking I will have to send it in for repair

exact samething my did.
Acer was great to deal with, and got it back to me quick.' ( rare tho, from the stories i read LOL)
