Does anyone know what changes with the new bios upgrade for the Acer Aspire One D250. Acer has released a couple of new updates in the past month but have not identified the changes that are associated with the Bios updates. So can anyone tell me what the updates changes are.

    Thanks

    Les

it's actually more like 3 releases in 3 weeks for the recent ones....but it's anybody's guess as to what changes were made.

I've spent more time than I'd like trying to get this info (since 1.14 came out), and each time I get the usual "we don't know" reply from Acer, along with their moronic song & dance replies. I just don't know what their deal is...

Using on-line chat, they say they don't know, and suggest calling phone support; phone support then tell me they don't know of have this information; ask to speak to level 2 or manager, they then suggest e-mailing the question; and it comes back as the usual vague reply:

"As per your mail I understand that you need to know about the updated BIOS version. Please be informed that the upgraded BIOS version will have features which improves the system performance , compatibility and enhance all the basic system features.

Note:Flashing the wrong BIOS can cause harm to the system. Acer recommends that you should only upgrade your firmware/drivers if you have been instructed to do so by an Acer Customer Care representative. By using these firmware/drivers you agree to accept the possibility of product failure."

Acer has by far the worse tech support I've ever had to use...hands down. Knowing what the BIOS changes are is a very simple and straight-forward question; but even after 7 attempts to get this info, they still refuse to give this out.

Perhaps if you offer to sign a non-disclosure agreement they will share the information with you? /sarcasm
