I don't understand why they don't post any changelogs? I mean, why risk bricking a unit if there is no way to know what the benefits of a new bios are?

Most of the time when a Place puts out a new bios thay tell you why and what it is for.
Acer looks to be "lazy" when it comes to this.

I had already gone to 1.14, then saw 1.15. Being the shoot-first kinda guy I am, I just went for 1.15.

I am noticing a small increase in battery life over 1.07, but I don't have any real data to back that up. I'm running Windows 7 RTM (legal) and am getting about 5 hours out of the 6-cell.

And... Hey Radioman, I'm just down the road in Chili!

Man, are they a pain to deal with. I emailed them a simple question to get the changelog, or know what improvements were made, and here's the reply:

"As per your mail I understand that you need to know about the updated BIOS version. Please be informed that the upgraded BIOS version will have features which improves the system performance , compatibility and enhance all the basic system features.

Note:Flashing the wrong BIOS can cause harm to the system. Acer recommends that you should only upgrade your firmware/drivers if you have been instructed to do so by an Acer Customer Care representative. By using these firmware/drivers you agree to accept the possibility of product failure."

Nice answer, huh? I then connected to live chat support, and got the same answer. I had to ask 3 times till they finally seemed to understand what a changelog was - and the importance of it, and the reply was that they still don't have this info, but it should be posted or made available soon. I'll post it here if I get the info before their website is updated.

As I understood, it's for D250. But will it suit my D150?

I went from 1.07 --> 1.15 in the vain hope that stand-by might work when shutting the lid or from the Windows Start button but I see the same thing occurring, where it just reboots back to the login prompt. Hibernate works fine, but standby does not. The same thing on my partners D250, so it's not just mine. It used to work with BIOS version 1.02

    Running Win Xp, 2GB D250

Stand by when closing the lid works for me on windows 7. I'm now on 1.15 but it used to work on 1.06 also.
