Black screen,beeping, windows start up

    So when I first start up the laptop, it goes to a black screen and immediately starts this loud high pitched beeping noise over and over. I can press ctrl+esc, or ctrl+alt+del and it will stop the beeping, and go to the windows startup screen, with the loading bar (the screen right before it goes to your desktop).
    It continues to load, and load, and load, but wont go to the desktop.
    I eventually let it just load for about 5 minutes, and then it automatically went back to the beginning black screen and beeping noise.

    What can I do?

    Have you upgraded the memory? Any modifications? Changed operating systems?
