black screen!

    hey.
    my aspire one
    is not going on
    when i turn it on it goes black with a big X in the middle what do i do
    please help.

    hi, i had same problem, used recovery disk in an external usb drive (borrowed one), plug usb drive in then F12 at boot up and select boot from external drive.

    resets everything back to square one
