    Hi,
All of a sudden my aspire one with XP started showing blank screen. I haven't used a lot of hard drive so I don't know if its the hard drive thats not working or the screen because after pressing the power button, I hear the hard drive noise but that it and no light, even when I press caps button that light is not lit (the green light on front). The screen is blanks and nothing is showing. Can you please help me out with this problem?

Also I didn't buy any extra warranty from future shop or acer, does anyone know if I still get some warranty (e.g. 1 year warranty) when purchasing the netbook?

    Thanks

I have the same problem with mine. The good news is that there is a 1 year warranty so take it back to Futureshop asap. I just sent mine to Acer but i haven't heard back yet. I hope I didn't loose all my data!

my Acer AOA150-1570 AOXPHSTUS MC UMACB 2X512/120GB HDD just did the same thing, turn on with no video, you can hear the fan going that's it, I tried with AC/battery.

I got this unit back in 10/1/2008, I think its a hardware failure, just didn't know why it fail so soon, sucks that I have to paid shipping the unit back.
