blank screen

    sitting at starbuck's
    screen fade to black
    i feel the heat of the cpu
    but nothing else
    what to do?

    1. Make sure the laptop is fully charge
    2. Make sure it's not just a freeze issue (hold the power button for about 5 seconds until the machine is completely off), then turn it back on
    3. Update your forum signature to reflect the model of your AAO so we know more about the machine and are able to offer some helpful advice

    I've had this problem on just about all my laptops, etc. Make sure you check your Power Options. In my case - lack of keyboard interaction (I was reading, drinking coffee, having a friendly chat) - time got away and my laptop would just see it has a great opportunity to go to sleep! :mrgreen:

    NO IT'S MORE DRAMATIC THAN THAT
    I'VE TRIED IT MANY TIMES SINCE, HOLD ESCAPE AND CONTROL, HOLD CONT/ALT/DEL, NADA, NOTHING, NYET
