blank screen

    i upgraded my ram on my acer aspire D260 which i brought yesterday evrything was working perfectly but after puting in the ram and assembled it togheter when i pressed the power buttom nathing appear's on the screen not even the logo or motherboard logo the fan noise can be heard for about 1 second . the power light is on "blue colour" i didnt touch nathing during installing the ram to cause this problem to occur.....

    Same thing happened to my D250 the first time I upgraded the RAM. Put your old RAM back in first to check that there isn't any problems with your AAO first (it should boot just fine off it's original RAM). If it does boot fine, clean the contacts on your new RAM, then try again.

    If it still doesn't work, you may just have incompatible RAM.

    I just bought a 2gb stick and the same thing happened to my D260. black screen, was your problem ever fixed? was it the ram?

    any help would be great...
