Hi, I use a iBlue 737 GPS receiver with a Bluetooth dongle on my AA1. It is a very good receiver and cost around $50.00. I just don't know what to use for software yet.

Good software this type is never for free. Unless there is something on the market I do not know...

    *Cough* Torrents.

Anyway. As long as it uses a SIRF III chipset, or MTK (something) you should be fine. Although I don't have one either. How do you connect them? Do you just put the bluetooth dongle in, turn the receiver on, and they'll find each other or something?

    1. Connect BT dongle,
    2. Install driver if needed,
    3. Perform SEARCH BT devices - BT GPS must be ON,
    4. Double click on GPS modul icon,
    5. Password - mostly is 0000 - four zeros,
    6. click Connect, set as authorized - this will allow to connect to GPS module always w/o extra questions,
    7. Enjoy :)

    Where ever I'm sent....
    Hi

    Here's my two pence worth...

I have used satnav software on the netbook since I got it and was a priorty to do so give that mapping and gps is a must due to work.

Anyway you can connect ANY bluetooth and ANY USB based gps to you netbook..... They all work and do so very well. You may find that you can only connect to certain software by using GPSgate(google it).

As to the software there is very little GOOD or EXCELLENT mapping/GPS software thats free. And would have to say you will have to pay for it or download illegal from other sources... Now what software you use depends on what you want to do with you netbook.... As I do everything from road satnav to cave surveying with mine so you will have to be more specific about this please so can advise better...

    hope this helps a little..

    regards
    Andrew
