I have just brought an Acer Aspire 8930 with the intention to use it as a part time bluray player for my HD TV.

I hook up the laptop to my HD TV (which i'm sure runs at 720p with the laptop able to do 1080p) via hdmi, and when I try to load up a bluray disc (opens in acer acarde) it comes up with incompatible graphics driver. Normal DVD's work fine via hdmi but not bluray discs.

For information the graphics card is NVIDIA® GeForce® 9600M 512MB and has the acer's graphics driver from December last year.

I was just wondering if the graphics card is capable of running the bluray discs on my tv? is there any settings i need to tweak or shall i try the new nvdia's own driver brought out a month or so back.

    Many thanks for any help

    Graham
