    All sorts of possibilities:

    1. A later version will actually reference it, once everyone's forgotten it's there
    2. Some sort of malware delivered by a website references it

So, can it simply be deleted without affecting anything? And if so, why install it to start with?

One of the points of the Open Source model on which Linux is based is that anyone can check your code for anything nasty; not delivering via source means automatically that's its suspect. People who are used to Open Source have suspicious minds! Oh, and people who are used to Open Source are extremely unlikely to make donations for something they can't check out; far more likely to donate if they can have the code.

The issue with "data.bin" is that it is included, and may be encrypted. Worse is, there is no obvious reference to it, which implies usage is obfuscated. Since this is common malware practice, I was suspicious.

Second, the "rus" code appears to be a good start.

Third, I supplied EXACT linkage issues. I would expect you to be able to deliver; particularly if this is a for-pay program (note that I don't mind paying). Sorry, I won't be leaving Linpus any time soon. I would be willing to assist in the packaging -- we can discuss this.
