Boot from sd card?

    I know the aspire one can boot from usb but can it boot from sd card? Also i noticed in the bios there is an ide 1 and 0, o being the ssdbut what is 1?

    Unless I misread the info' booting direct from an sd card = no, it is not seen by the bios at boot time.

    No, the current bios cannot boot from sd cards.

    Pretty poor imho :(

    Maybe we'll see this in a BIOS update in the future, unless it's a technical hardware issue. I've just emailled their tech team about this and it says "we aim to have a reply in 2 working days"

    Ok thanks, hope they mention the possibility of a bios update to resolve the issue :D, I like to boot into backtrack, it would be alot neater to use sd rther than pen drive

    OMG - this is a big fault with the aspire one nobody mentioned - as my Assus eee, does so well , allowing me to have all my Os's on SD cards - I naturally assumed the One would do so too -given it has two card readers I naturally thought it would. To discover it dosen't having bought one is a blow.

    It's a shame that Acer did not include the feature in Aspire One.
    Hope that there will be an upgrade in the bios that will be able to allow us to boot from sd cards like Asus.
