Format it again and let UNetBootin do everything for you. Program places files and making USB bootable own way...

If you have access to a Windows PC:

Download the HP usb format tool:

    http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/f ... views.html

Use it to format your USB stick (FAT32). Don't use the right-click+format in windows. This tool does a better job.

    In unetbootin:

Check "diskimage" (ISO) then browse to your easypeasy ISO file and choose it. Make sure you have the right usb stick at the bottom of the unetbootin window ( type "usb" and the right drive letter for your stick).

Click OK. Let unetbootin do it's bit of magic. When it's done you don't need to click "reboot". Just click OK.

Just to be on the safe side, click on the "safely remove hardware" thingy in the tray (the icon with a green arrow) and tell it to "remove" your stick so you don't physically remove it before windows is done writing to it.

Remove the stick and insert it in your AA1. Reboot.Press F12 and choose your usb stick as the boot device.

If that doesn't work, you either have a bad iso file or you're doing something wrong.

For the record, I downloaded the easypeasy (god I hate that name) ISO yesterday and tried it on my 8G Kingston Datatraveller USB stick and it worked fine.

In my opinion,it wasn't worth the trouble. :)

    Good luck.

Ive done it. Used windows to load the flash drive and format it .Went straight into boot on AA1 and hey presto. Not sure wot was up. redownloaded the iso file and unetbootin for windows. The only thing i did change was the scource of the download to a different mirror not sure that would make any difference.
Thanks. now have linpus, eeepc and easypeasy. loads to play with :D :D

You probably already know this, but for the benefit of every one here: You can use pretty much any distro to play with. Just do the same procedure but with a different Distro/ISO. I've tried pantloads of them and they all worked. If you need a "persistent" install that will save your settings to you USB stick, here's a good place to start:

    http://www.pendrivelinux.com/

Just look for the tutorials in the list with "persistent" in the title... hours of fun. :)

    Cheers
