Is this compatible/usable with Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005? I have a Pinnacle 800 USB HDTV USB dongle and I'd like to use it on my Acer One but it's no good unless I can make XP MCE 2005 and the BCM70012 play nice together. I don't want to get the module, have to hack in a new WiFi transceiver and find out the only thing it's good for is playing Blue Ray DVD s which I don't have and don't need and only works with one program

never tried it with xp's mce... did with win7's and it only handled most of my mp4 based stuff as well as digital tv from my hauppauge 950Q.

just a small update... using win7 mce, digitaltv was actually better using the default encoder over the broadcom card (using mcdu to change the decoder)

recording seemed fine with the broadcom, but live tv was slow and off sync

Do you know if Win7's version of Media Center is all that different than the one in Vista?

MCE 2005 XP with the Service Pack is really the same thing as Vista's version of Media Center and I suspect Win7's isn't all that different
