I have managed to break my copy of EZMove. Running from a terminal showed that it was looking for folders at /root/test/1 and /root/test/2. Creating these folders allows EZMove to run but does not show the correct folders in the twin panes.

Terminal output when running ezmove is:

    Use default directories
no matched udi, removal detection callback is not installed

Can someone explain the function of the 'test' folders and anything else I need to fix.

    Re: Broken EZMove (Solved)

After a good night's sleep it occurred to me that the folders 1 and 2 might be symbolic links to folder locations rather than folders containing who knows what!

Using the information at <http://macles.blogspot.com/2008/09/about-storage-expansion-of-acer-aspire.html> I created a symbolic link in /root/test (named 1) which links to the home directory on the SSD, /home/user. A second link (named 2) links to the SD, /media/KINGSTON in my case.

    All now seems OK.
