    I went to the brothers site to find my printer driver listed at this link: http://solutions.brother.com/linux/en_u ... l#MFC-210C
    I have no idea what I'm trying to do here as far as figuring out how to install a driver... if it will work...
    The linux versions the driver works on are suse,debian/ubuntu 64 bit,fedora10 64 bit. Neither of these seems to be the right one for linpus lite.
    There are 2 drivers a lpr driver and a cups wrapper driver plus other drivers for the scanner etc. I ran a cups driver on the mac.

    Why not type "Printer Drivers" into the search bar and you will find responses for attaching printers. You have even posted in one of them.
    The search facility is very useful, do not assume you are the first with the problem.

    OK. downloaded the rpm lpr and cups files. What is the lpr file for? line printing for USB?
    Just wondering if I need to install both? My apple system (airport extreme) allows printing wirelessly to the printer when the printer is plugged into it but I'd probably have to install a bunch of files somehow to recognize bonjour. I'd just be happy if it even just printed by usb at this point.
    Darn, would like to print out the instructions but hey... guess I will from my mac...
    Thanks. Will give it a try.

    Received some email help from Brother for those who want to install Brother Printers....
    - Only installation via the terminal is supported
    - Both lpr and cupswrapper drivers are required
    - csh/tcsh is required for the installing MFC-210C drivers (I'm sorry,
    providing support for installing csh/tcsh is beyond the range of our
    support. You may find it in the package manager).
    - To open the terminal, please go to the settings tab.

    Install instruction;
    http://solutions.brother.com/linux/en_u ... prn1a.html
    Driver download (use rpm package drivers);
    http://solutions.brother.com/linux/en_u ... l#MFC-210C

    What is a csh/tcsh? Is that automatically installed? Does Linpus go looking for that during the install or do I have to go searching to figure out what that is? If it might be in the package manager... how do I find it?
