Just learned a Chrome tweak to add switches to its target/startup line, enabling or better yet disabling things that get in the way or decrease its snoopiness: from [url="http://www.maximumpc.com/article/features/20_chrome_tweaks"]http://www.maximumpc.com/article/featur ... ome_tweaks[/url] Right-click the Chrome shortcut on your desktop or Taskbar and select Properties. Navigate to the Shortcut tab and pay attention to the Target field. This is where you'll be entering in command line switches. Depending on which OS you're using and where you installed Chrome, you should see something like this: C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe When you find a switch you want to use, append it to the end, making sure to leave a space in between chrome.exe and each switch. In my XP setup the target line is in quotes "C... \chrome.exe" and the switches should be added after the quote mark. List of switches (obviously google to see what they do): -disable-dev-tools [speed] -disable-hang- monitor -disable-images -disable-java -disable-javascript -disable- metrics [privacy] -disable-metrics- reporting [privacy] -disable-plugins -disable-popup- blocking -disable-prompt-on- repost
