BT Mobile Broadband

    I'm trying out BT's Mobile Broadband service for Register Hardware. The modem's a Huawei E170 so I thought I'd try it out on the AA1 with Mobile Partner.

    Works a treat once I'd got BT's APN and password. Connection no problem.

    I initially couldn't get Firefox 3.0.3 to show any pages, but since other apps, specifically Live Update and Messenger, could connect, I knew there wasn't a problem with the link.

    It turned out FF had flipped on the Work Offline setting (File menu) the first time I'd tried to connect without success. I switched that off and here I am posting via HSDPA.
