built-in microphone

    I have tried to autorecord myself with the built-ub microphone and it won't work. I checked with a colleague who has the same model and hers works fine. Has anybody experienced the same problem? Is there something I should have in mind in the configuration? Could it be related to my firewall settings (AVG)?

    My mic has never worked either.
    I don't know if you're supposed to activate it or what - But I checked "microphone" in the audio mixer, and audacity still only records silence.

    this happened to me after my aspire one came back from the repair. I sent it back off, and they repaired it for free(they replaced the LCD cable). The LCD cable connects both to the mic, webcam, and the lcd of course :p.
