    I installed gcc on my new AA1 with advice from this forum, thank you, using
    $ sudo yum install gcc
    But I tried the same with c++ and got "no package c++ available".
    c++ -v gives "bash: c++: command not found"
    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks, but this is what I got:
    Package gcc - 4.1.2-33.i386 is already installed.
    No Match for argument: gcc=c++
    No package gcc=c++ available.
    Nothing to do

    My apologies, only when I cut and pasted did I notice it was - and not =.
    Old eyes and small letters on this list on the AA1.
    c++ now installed and working.
    Thank you.
