Camera detection Acer E727 model

i have an acer e727 model and recently installed win7 ultimate OS on my own alongwith the required drivers. the Laptop camera was working fine but all of a sudden when i turn on skype or hangout or laptop camera software it says camera is not detected. I searched in the device manager, and the imaging section shows the presence of the 1.3M webcam. the status shows it's functioning properly. Whenever i try to install a camera driver, it shows camera isnt detected or isnt installed. kindly help me with this
