Can i install a1ctl on a linus aspire?

I have recently purchased an aspire one and was told abut this a1ctl app. Is this an app only for XP or for linpus OS as well? I am also a newbie to linux so don't really understand it that well.

If it will work with lipus how do I go about installing it?

If you just acquired an AA1, chances are you don't have the noisy fan problem that affected early models, but perhaps your ears are younger than mine. If it bothers you, search this forum for "fanlesss aspire one".

Keep in mind that the fan runs for a reason....

Don't have the noisy fan just though it might extend battery life.

But if thats all it does I won't bother. Thank you for the advice.
