Can I use an XFCE desktop soley (instead of the Acer one)?

    i I am running Linpus lite on another laptop and it allows you to toggle between lite and advanced mode. I don't like the default lite mode on my Aspire one and am wondering if there is a way to have a regular XFCE desktop as the default on it instead. Any help would be appreciated.
