Can Reviversoft be trusted or should I get an engineer in?

My laptop is going very slow and I have problems getting my google chrome browser to load up even though I've removed it and re-installed it twice now. When it does finally load up it tells me that it hadn't previously shut it down correctly even though I have and asks me if I want to restore it.
Today I carried out an internet speed test on the website www.speedtest.net, after it carried out the test it gave me an option to speed up my computer which I did and it took me to a website www.reviversoft.com. This told me that I had over 1500 errors on my laptop and that for about £47 or it might have been dollars I'm not sure, it would rectify them for me. Does anyone here know whether the site and the software it offers can be trusted and do you think that it will not only speed up my computer but also help with my google chrome problem?
I can't decide whether to purchase the software or get someone in to look at the laptop; past engineers I've had in haven't seemed to help much so I tempted to try the software solution. What is your advice?
