can you add a usb webcam?

    I have searched but cant find the answer, and im unsure if this the correct area so sorry if its not.

    i have the acer linux notebook with built in webcam, but its not very good is it possible to add a usb webcam? and if so is there an idiots guide to doing so?

    any help would be great thanks guys
