Cannot get A1CTL mod to work...

    I wanted to run this mod to experiment with underclocking, but most of all, stop that very annoying hard drive clicking. I downloaded the software, unzipped it with winRAR, tried running it, and I get this error message:

    Run-time error '13'

    Type mismatch

    I cannot figure out what this is, or even means. I know this is some kind of VB related error. Does anyone have any experience with this software and perhaps the different error codes?

    You might write to the developer, who seems to be responsive - it installed cleanly and all the features work on my machine.

    Update 091103: it's worth noting that the current "final" version that's been updated for newer Acer models didn't work on my old AOA150. I reinstalled version 0.4 and it's working great again.
