I have an AA150 with 1.5Gb and XP Pro.

I wanted to install Linux so I checked on here and Mandriva gets quite a few good shouts, so I tried Live CD and was amazed at how easy it was to get everything working, so much so that I am going to install on my wife's ageing HP laptop.

I created a partition, and everything seemed to install ok. I selected GRUB as the bootloader and didn't change any of the default settings, however when starting up GRUB doesn't appear and goes straight into Windows.

Obviously I've got something wrong, should I have changed something on the settings. Doesn't GRUB sit in the MBR by default.

    Jon.

Managed to get GRUB working. For some reason it wouldn't work as a graphical interface had to change to text interface.
