Hi there. Having an interesting time learning Linux. Have been messing with add/remove software manager and accidentally removed gnome-screensaver. Have tried reinstalling via both package manager and terminal sudo yum install commands but after installing package I keep getting this error:

    Transaction Check Error:
file /usr/share/desktop-directories/Internet.directory from install of gnome-menus-2.20.3-1.fc8 conflicts with file from package xfdesktop-acer-lp-1652.mcs_patched
file /usr/share/desktop-directories/Settings.directory from install of gnome-menus-2.20.3-1.fc8 conflicts with file from package xfdesktop-acer-lp-1652.mcs_patched

    Error Summary

Cannot seem to get around this. Any suggestions to resolve would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You could back up the file to be replaced, let rpm replace the files, then restore your backed up file. Or download the source code for the version of gnome-screensaver used by Linpus on the AA1 from http://ftp.twaren.net/Linux/Linpus/...ne_Srpms/gnome-screensaver-2.20.0-9lp.src.rpm and compile it yourself
