    AAO running Linpus Lite.
sorry to ask a probably simple question, but...
I need to be able print (at the very least) text to my Canon Pixma IP5200 printer.
I'm not at all bothered about printing photos, I'll happily leave this to my XP laptop.
I've read about CUPS and Gutenprint, but I've no further clue as to how to install this and then connect to the printer. It currently runs off a wired print server (so its available to all on my home network), but I'll happily connect via usb for now!

Anything to get some text out!!

    your help is most appreciated.

There's a printer driver package available on the Acer website for the Aspire One. Perhaps that will do it?
